    Introduction to PDO Thread Use

    ATM's PDO Thread Lift certification class is an all-inclusive virtual aesthetics training class for medical professionals entering the cosmetic field of practice. Our online course allows participants to study this aesthetic procedure and begin performing PDO thread treatments immediately after completion.

    The PDO thread training course includes a complete presentation on FDA-cleared polydioxanone thread devices for non-surgical facial lifting and collagen stimulation. Although certain treatment areas beyond FDA-cleared indications are considered off-label, this practice is widely accepted within the professional community when performed by trained providers.

    PDO Thread Lift Hands-On Training

    The PDO Thread Lift hands-on training class is certified by our cosmetic aesthetic educators. It utilizes FDA-cleared PDO thread devices for cosmetic procedures, allowing participants to begin performing treatments upon completion. All supplies and models are provided.

    What are PDO threads, and how do they work?

    Polydioxanone (PDO) threads are biodegradable sutures inserted beneath the skin to physically reposition sagging tissue while triggering the body's natural collagen response. The threads dissolve gradually over 4–6 months, but the collagen they stimulate continues to firm and support the treated area for up to 12–18 months after treatment.

    Who is eligible to take this course?

    Enrollment is open to licensed medical professionals, including RNs, APRNs, and qualified medical providers. If you're building out a full aesthetic injectable skillset, our facial aesthetics training programs cover a range of complementary procedures.

    Is the hands-on training included in the online course?

    The online certification and the hands-on clinical session are two separate components. The virtual course is self-paced and completed remotely. The in-person training takes place at our private practice facility. Contact us to arrange scheduling once your online modules are complete.

    Are off-label PDO thread areas covered in this course?

    The foundational course concentrates on FDA-cleared indications: the midface, jawline, jowls, and nasolabial folds. Treatment areas, including the brow, neck, under-eye, and submental region, are considered off-label and are addressed in our Advanced Class, which becomes available 90 days after completing this course.

    Will I receive a certificate upon completion?

    Yes, a certificate of competency is awarded once you have completed both the online course and the hands-on training session at our private practice facility.
